Planet Puppy
Having a puppy in your life is both an enormous privilege and an enormous responsibility. Helping your puppy to feel safe and loved is the biggest gift that you can give them, and part of how you can do that is by learning how to communicate clearly, kindly, and effectively with them.
During 1-2-1 Planet Puppy sessions, you will learn how to help your puppy to feel safe with all the many and varied things that exist in the world around them. You will also learn how to address their needs through play and enrichment, and help them to understand what is expected of them using positive, reward-based training methods which will make learning a pleasurable and rewarding experience for you both.
1-2-1 training sessions can include, but are not limited to:
The basics (sit, down, stay, etc.)
Toilet training
Loose lead walking
Recall
Jumping up
Grooming/handling
Familiarisation of new equipment
(such as crates and harnesses, for example)
Chewing
Mouthing
You will learn how to train and reward those behaviours that you want to see more of, as well as how to set up the environment in such a way so as to prevent rehearsal of those behaviours that you wish to avoid.
By discovering what motivates your own, individual dog, we can tailor the reinforcement to ensure that they are being effectively rewarded for offering desirable behaviours; it’s much easier, kinder and more enjoyable to teach your dog what you would like them to do, rather than constantly trying to tell them what you don’t want.
Initial sessions start at £55 and may take place in person or via Zoom. Further sessions start at £50. Sessions lasts for 60 minutes.
Payment is taken via bank transfer in advance of each session.
Should you need to cancel a session, 48 hours notice is required.

BEHAVIOURAL CONSULTATIONS
Behavioural consultations allow us to examine the motivations of a given behaviour, enabling us to devise a treatment programme that will improve that behaviour over time.
